Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples

Move and explore in freedom!

Agrigento is located on two hills that degrade to the sea. Its historic centre, built in alleys, courtyards and staircases, encloses the artistic and cultural treasure left by the various domination over the centuries.
However, Agrigento is famous in the world for the Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site: an incredibly well-preserved archaeological area with ten temples, three sanctuaries and various necropolis and remains of other buildings, testifying the importance that the city had in Magna Greece. In the summer, you can enjoy suggestive guided tours even in the evening.
Agrigento can be reached by regular buses that depart almost every hour from the station 3 km from the campsite or by car (which you can easily rent at the campsite) to discover the treasures of this land in freedom.
